How to Organise Custom Fields

Ever felt lost of how to organize custom fields in ActiveCampaign? No worries! Sorting them out doesn't have to be a headache. Let's simplify:

  1. Sort and Group

In most platforms, fields often end up scattered, lacking a coherent structure. See the table below, how easy is to spot information? Not that easy right?

So look at what custom fields you've got. Find common themes like "Contact Info" or "Preferences" and group them together. Think of it as tidying up into labeled boxes.

2. Combine and Remove

Got duplicates or similar fields? Merge them! It's like decluttering your space. Combine things like "Email Open" and "Last Interaction" into one field for clearer organization.

3. Name Game

Make things clear for everyone. Use simple, descriptive names for your fields. Imagine labeling drawers so anyone can find what they need. For example: General Details, Engagement Level, Interest Preferences and so on!

4. Put First Things First

Some fields matter more. Highlight the important ones and put them in their own space. It's like keeping your everyday items within arm's reach. Keep the general details at the top, following the most important details you would like to know after.

Now, let’s try to find the information below. It is much easier as we have sorted and labeled everything !

Grouping fields isn’t just about organizing data; it’s about telling a powerful story with every detail. It’s your key for precise targeting, personalized messages, and deeper connections with your audience through organized, meaningful data.
